PASTOR JO ELLEN SCHWANDT
Jo Ellen grew up in a Christian home and gave her life to Christ at 7 years old. At age 16 she heard the call of God on her life. During the
season of raising her family she went to school to receive a degree
in Business Management and Interior Design. For 23 years Jo Ellen owned and operated a successful event planning business and flower shop. During this time she and her family were fully engaged in the youth ministry of First Assembly of God in Appleton. Working with the High School students and planning mission trips to South and Central America. At the end of that season, she was reminded of the deeper call on her life and went back to school to become a pastor.
Jo Ellen has served on the staff of 2 large churches in the Fox Valley; serving in the roles of Business Administrator, Community Impact Pastor, Missions Pastor and Care Pastor. Currently Jo Ellen is a US Field Director for the Global Leadership Network, bringing transformational leadership for Kingdom impact in all mountains of influence.
Jo Ellen has been married to Dave for almost 40 years. They have two married daughters and 6 grandchildren. For Hobbies: Dave and Jo Ellen enjoy spending time in nature; hiking and kayaking. They also enjoy spending time with their 6 grandchildren attending soccer and hockey games or just chilling at home baking cookies.
Missions work has always been a large part of their lives. They have traveled to many parts of the world together and have shared this experience with their family and others. They are excited to be a part of the Elevation team and look forward to advancing God’s Kingdom purpose through the gifts and talents of this great congregation.
