Fundamental Leadership - Blow The Lid Off!

Isaiah 43:18-19 NASB
“Do not call to mind the former things,
Or consider things of the past.
Behold, I am going to do something new,
Now it will spring up;
Will you not be aware of it?
I will even make a roadway in the wilderness,
Rivers in the desert.

●A leader's boundaries and lids will determine the thought life of those around them.
●Example: Jesus-He had no lid-He taught His disciples to think in a way that was impossible.
●Leaders foster environments to empower people to innovate and create and think differently to every situation.
●Example: APPLE and Steve Jobs-IPOD--Jobs rejected conventional thinking about how consumers would buy music.
●One of the main problems leaders face in the teams they lead is to properly address and spot negative thinking and set boundaries that reinforce what can be done, not what can't be done..
●What leaders create and what they allow is what leaders get. Especially thinking.
●The science: Anticipation of a good outcome produces dopamine which awakens the brain to productivity, fostering new ideas and grappling with hard problems. It challenges learned helplessness!

Question To Ponder:
●What are the obstacles that are in your path that can become opportunities? Take a moment today to reflect on some of those challenges, and how you can challenge ‘learned hopelessness.”
