IMPORTANT: Next Steps For Elevation!

The Next Steps

Elevation Family,

For those that were not here in our service last Sunday, I wanted to briefly catch everyone up to speed on our Next Steps as a church family.

On Sunday, I shared with you:
●     In mid-December, our current landlord informed us they have found a new tenant to lease our space.
●     This is in compliance of our 1-year lease renewal we signed last August. In that lease both parties agreed to a 90-day notice to vacate the premises if we found a new option or if they found a new tenant. As mentioned, they found a new tenant before we found our new long-term location.

What Now?
●     Our Staff and leadership team had been well-prepared for this possibility for a long time now.  As I mentioned last Sunday, I have been looking all over the region in the last year or so for a long-term building asset to manifest that I felt God wanted us to move towards. At one point in the search process, we did have a real possibility at a long-term location and lease, but our Overseers, staff, and I just didn’t feel the Lord was moving us in that direction.
●     For over a year now, Troy Murphy (Lead Pastor at Green Bay Community Church) and his team have consistently offered to take us in if we needed a temporary place to worship while in transition. ●     After much prayer and conversation, we feel God is leading our church to accept this gracious opportunity from Community Church!

What This Means?
●     We will hold our last in-house service at our current location on South Oneida, Sunday February 19th.
●     We own several hundred thousand dollars worth of assets; our team met on Monday and developed an action plan to place it in storage.
●     We will be moving out DEBT-FREE! (Our prior landlord removed all debt from our prior construction loan worth hundreds of thousands of dollars!)
●     Some of our storage is being provided rent free by a friend of our church!
●     We will be utilizing Community Church’s Chapel area that seats nearly 300 people, fairly close to our current size.

 What’s To Come?
●     Our team met with Pastor Troy and his team this morning, and it was obvious that God knows what He’s doing.
●     In collaborative planning, we all feel confident that we will be able to fulfill the vision and Elevate, Equip, and Engage people in many of the same ways we are currently implementing. Groups, Emerge, Emmaus, Intercessory Prayer, Pastoral Care  and other mid-week ministry trainings like Elevate You, Equip You, and Engage You to name a few.●     We are developing action plans around the expansion of our on-line ministry and look forward to that continued development!

When Does This Start?

●     On February 26th, Pastor Troy has invited our whole church to join GBCC at their 10am service to worship God together for one Sunday in the same space.
●     Then, on March 6th, we will make the transition into the GBCC Chapel area with a Sunday weekly service time at 10 am!●     Our eKidz ministry will integrate with Community’s Children’s Ministry during the 10am service time, beginning Feb 26th and then ongoing. Pastor Hope and Mary Meyer are working with their leadership to ensure a smooth transition for our kids. Their heart is that every child feel loved and known, which is our heart as well!!  Our eKidz volunteers will serve alongside Community leaders and volunteers.

What To Pray For?
●     The unity of our particular body in this transition! We believe God will show up in so many miraculous ways in you and our body, now and in the future.
●     Plenty of people to get involved with this NEW thing God is doing for those called to our fellowship!
●     The move will continue to be Spirit-empowered, wisdom and excellence at the forefront as we bring action plans together and see them implemented.
●     More people will get saved, healed, delivered and activated into the kingdom of Jesus now more than ever in 2023! In Green Bay, as it is in heaven!
●     We know the Holy Spirit is in this temporary move. We are still seeking the Lord on long-term direction and opportunities to buy or receive a facility. If you hear or see something out there, don’t hesitate to inform our leadership or me about it!

Like the sermon preached on Christmas Eve “Change of Plans” - sometimes God interrupts our plans to implement His. We know this is His!  We will share more on this Sunday, January 8th and I'll show you some pics of the chapel and facilities we will have the privilege to use!Love ya!
